Go Green Missouri!
Governor Office Building, Room 450 (200 Madison Street) Jefferson City
Tuesday, February 17, 2009, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
We need your help to convince Missouri's lawmakers Go Green! Join Missouri Coalition for the Environment, Missouri Votes Conservation and Sierra Club at the state capitol for Conservation Lobby Day.
The event is an opportunity to join concerned citizens from around the state to educate Missouri legislators on critical environmental issues. Meet with lawmakers who hold key positions on various legislative committees, as well as your own state senators and representatives.
Registration will begin at 9:30 am in the Governor Office Building, room 450 (at 200 Madison Street, across from the capitol). Then there will be an information session to prep you on key legislation and give you tips on lobbying. Following that, we'll break into smaller lobbying groups to speak with legislators. We will work on issues including green building and energy efficiency, factory farms, transportation, CWIP/ratepayer protection, sand and gravel mining, and solid waste reduction.
We will provide a delicious and sustainable lunch for $10 a person ($5 for students), so please bring cash or check.
