Energy Policy decisions, Energy Security and the continuing concern over Greenhouse Gas emissions has quickly emerged as the most significant environmental issue we face as we head toward an uncharted carbon-constrained future. The 2008 "Energy Policy, Climate Change and Energy Security Conference" will be held May 20-21 at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Experts from across the country and Midwest will discuss regulatory options, private initiatives, new risks and opportunities, fuel choices, corporate response to climate change, state and local efforts, national and state energy policies, transportation scenarios and the daunting challenge of addressing climate change without a massive disruption of business and jobs.
The way we use, produce, transport, and transform energy and the manner in which regulations, markets, and policies develop will matter greatly to our future. We are at the cusp of a new energy paradigm that raises both opportunities and pitfalls for operating in a carbon-constrained world. You can't affort to miss the "2008 Energy Policy, Climate Change and Energy Security Conference."
